This is my first scarf I have made that is not a basic stockinette stitch (alternating knit rows and purl rows) but NOT off by much.
It is a *Knit Two, Purl Two; rep from * to end. Repeating this same row until you have the length you want.
I knit this with an alpaca wool yarn (with a little bit of silk in it I believe) - it is so soft and I have yet to block it.
